Councils & Committees
At Cloughduv National School, we place great value on student voice and active participation in school life. Our pupils play an important role in shaping a positive, inclusive, and dynamic school community through their involvement in a number of committees and councils.
We are proud to have the following pupil-led groups in operation:
- Student Council - a representative body where students can voice their opinions, participate in school decision-making and contribute to the school community.
- Green Schools Committee - The members work on different environmental themes, such as litter & waste, energy and biodiversity in order to achieve a Green Flag award.
- Gaeilge Committee – tasked with promoting both formal and informal use of Irish through initiatives such as Seachtain na Gaeilge and Frása na Seachtaine
- Well-Being Committee – focused on fostering positive relationships, promoting mental health, and supporting pupil well-being
- Bí Cineálta Committee – recently established, this group of 5th and 6th Class pupils leads the promotion of kindness and inclusivity, aligning with national anti-bullying strategies in primary education
Each of the first four committees is made up of five pupils from 2nd to 6th class, ensuring broad representation and input across the school.
We are very proud of the work these pupils do and the positive impact their leadership has on daily school life.
